About the School
Ronda's Montessori Garden opened in June, 1994 to answer the need in children ages 2 to 6 years of age for a positive relationship with nature. Through organic gardening the children acquire an affection for the earth and learn the basic skills of bio-intensive gardening. With the use of the Montessori Method and materials, developed by Maria Montessori over a hundred years ago, whole children are nourished. By virtue of the work itself, the children are more mature than their peers.
The garden school has been certified organic by the TDA (Texas Department of Agriculture) since 1995.
